When Brenda Hill-Lampkin wants to nurture her creativity, she heads to her sun-drenched craft room. Although she loves this dream haven, it’s tiny—a mere 85 square feet. So she turned to a couple of Bay Area designers, Linda McFalone and Laura Ziffer of lulu Pom, for guidance on how to maximize and open up the space. “Because they’d designed the rest of our San Jose home, I knew they could put together a room that worked for me,” Brenda says.
“Our goal was to make it utilitarian, but also give Brenda an inspiring spot where she can explore her interests, express her creativity, and enjoy her canine collectibles,” Laura says.

(f) A baker extraordinaire, Brenda loves to gift friends with sugar cookies (from her mother’s recipe) and other beautifully wrapped confections. Handmade tags and boxes, along with tons of French ribbon, elevate the presentation.
