(a) Gather the kids for this sunny project using your favorite papers or
fabrics. Simply cut and glue, then bring on the lemonade! Contact paper makes
these tabletop accents water repellent. Click here to download the designs.
(b) Felt on the coaster underside adds color and texture while protecting table
surfaces. On the topside, anything goes! Choose designs that match your décor or
create themed sets to give as housewarming gifts. Decorative citrus paper,
Bazzill Paper. Flower fabric, Robert Kaufman.
how to make it
1. Choose your favorite colorful paper, fabric, photo, or oilcloth, or
download and print a design from here. 2. Adhere contact sheet
to right side of paper, fabric, or photo. If using oilcloth, skip this step, as
the oilcloth is already coated. 3. If using a cork sheet, cut out desired cork
shape. Trace around cork shape onto wrong side of paper, fabric, photo, or
oilcloth. Cut out shape. 4. Trace and cut shape from coordinating felt just
outside the traced lines, so felt edges extend beyond cork. If desired, use
decorative scissors or pinking shears. 5. Paint cork edges if desired. Let
dry. 6. Using craft glue, affix felt to bottom of cork coaster. Glue fabric,
paper, photo, or oilcloth to top. Let dry.
