Here a place card, there a place card
(a) Set a place card on each guest’s plate, or use clear thread to hang them from
the chandelier so they float over everyone’s place. Tuck place cards into
napkins or punch a hole in the corners and run a bit of ribbon through to tie
them around glasses or teacups. Or, glue a toothpick on the back and insert the
point into a perfect pink cupcake. Materials and design of placecards and paper

TIPS
It’s fun to use special nicknames on your cards, as we’ve
done here.
Rather than have them all match, choose
materials that relate to each person’s personality and taste.
For
texture and depth, use at least three different papers and/or materials
on each card.
If you add another element to the basic
card, like the heart bauble on the “Sweetie” card, bottom right, be sure to back
the new element so that it looks nice from both sides. (We used Wacky Tacky®
tape to glue the wires to the cards.)
To give your cards
more dimension, back additional elements, such as small hearts or
flowers, with a small thin dot of foam core board, then glue to place
cards.
To make centering a handwritten name easy, begin
by writing the names on larger pieces of paper, then cut to desired size and
shape.
Stumble It!
