Decorate your next party with crafty, colorful chickens!
These plucky hens make perfect name-card holders. Tuck a name under each wing or label, each with your guest’s first initial. Roosting on vintage toy blocks, these chicks make for peppy party decor. Read through all instructions before beginning.

YOU WILL NEED
Assorted cardstock and soda can tin
Assorted brads for eyes and wings
Beading supplies for necklaces
Vintage toy blocks
Craft scissors
Hand-saw
Glue stick

HOW TO MAKE THEM
1. prep pattern
Cut out pattern A. Trace dashed inner line of chicken to create pattern B. Cut out pattern C wing. Trace wing where indicated to create pattern D, omitting area marked with diagonal lines.
2. cut out chicken
For each chicken, cut one piece each of patterns A, B, C, and D, using variety of cardstock and/or printed soda can tin.
3. assemble chicken
Glue wing D to top of larger wing C. Glue chicken B to top of chicken A. Punch hole through chicken at dot and affix brad for eye. Punch hole through wing and through body at circles. Join wing to chicken with brad.
4. form necklace
Create necklace for chicken with assorted beads and bangles. Mark guest’s initial at necklace front or on separate piece of paper tucked in chicken’s wing.
5. saw toy block
With hand-saw, saw vertical groove in center of toy block, 3/4” deep.
6. complete
Place necklace on chicken. Place tab at chicken base in toy block.

NOTE: Add decorative stitching to some of your chickens. Punch holes in chicken or wing and stitch through with embroidery thread for added variety. Party Chicks make fun photo or memo holders, too!
