Artist's Profile
Designer, artist, and author Charlotte Lyons can't help but get teary-eyed when she
thinks about her youngest daughter leaving for college in the fall. She is proud of Mo's unerring dedication as a certified volunteer firefighter in their hometown of Irvington, New York, and calls her daughter an inspiration to other young women. Charlotte is known for her creative crafting projects featuring vintage objects. More of her work can be seen at charlottelyons.com.

Bits and Pieces
Charlotte sheepishly admits to being a pack rat. Her home studio is filled with bottles of buttons, boxes of fabric scraps, and odds and ends of every shape and color. The rose fabric square (seen under Mo's high school photo) is a scrap saved from the dress Charlotte made for her daughter's preschool pictures (a). Even the red buttons came from the same dress. sources: Brads, Making Memories, makingmemories.com.

Two Peas in a Pod
Charlotte is enchanted by nostalgia. A photo of Mo and her oldest sister, Erin, captures the sweet combination of a peaceful summer day and a fleeting childhood moment. sources: Fiskars decorative edge scissors, fiskars.com.
