TRENDS & TIPS from the experts
Mixing patterned fabrics is a balancing act—to coordinate, they all must have something in common, and yet be different enough to contrast. Pull it off by choosing fabrics that share colors and patterns that vary in scale.
Think of geometric patterns (like dots and stripes) as the “neutrals” that provide a crisp edge to florals.

hang it all!
(a) Use Simplicity Pattern 4631 and a bouquet of summery floral fabrics to make this organizer as cheerful as it is functional. Add ribbon or trim to outline pockets. Top it off with a trio of metal grommets to hang it within easy reach.

pick a pocket
(b) One for scissors, another for trim. A dozen pretty pockets make organizing craft essentials a snap.
