Captivating Nostalgic Shelf Edging
With a few scraps from a copyright-free vintage wallpaper book or shelf
paper, you can color-copy your way back to retro cool.
How to make it:
1. Color-copy an oldie-but-goodie design on the largest paper-size setting of
the copy machine (usually 11” x 17”) 2. Lengthwise, cut out a 4” wide strip to
form “edging”. 3. Along entire length of edging strip, both top and bottom,
paint ½” border lines in a hue complementing the pattern. (We used bright
red here.) 4. Color-copy a whole folder full of your strips , cut them out
along outside edges of the painted lines, and paste them together (be careful to
match up the pattern). Cut along one of the painted-line borders with
scalloping shears to form decorative edge.
Stumble It!
