Anna's Tips
Use color copies of antique papers to give your scrapbooks a vintage look. That way, you have the originals to copy and use in future projects.
Try old-style clothespins to bind flat scrapbooks. Their openings are slightly larger than spring clothespins.
Find Trinkets at dollhouse shops and in the scrapbooking area of craft stores.

Lunch-Bag Scrapbooks
Transform a stack of humble brown paper bags and bits and pieces from your craft cupboard into themed scrapbooks

(a) This purse-sized bag book, is the perfect place to track your latest project. Embellish the cover with decorating icons: a color-copied vintage chair print, a piece of wallpaper, and a slice of yardstick. (b) Use pockets formed by the bags, to store paint chips, jot down room dimensions, and save receipts. (c) You collected them so carefully, why not keep your seeds organized in a garden-themed lunch-bag book?

You Will Need:
Brown paper lunch bags
Wooden clothespins
Fiskars Decorative Edge Scissors
Glue stick
Glue
Hole punch
Colored pencils
Alphabet stamps and stamp pad
Lengths of contrasting ribbons
Raid your junk drawer to decorate the cover.
Try decorative papers, buttons charms, ribbons, old matchbook covers, seed packages, receipts...whatever!

how to make 'em:
(d) Folded-bag Scrapbook:
1.
Stack six lunch bags, alternating open and closed ends on the right side, all with the flapped sides down. Fold stack in half to make a square.
2. On the left, folded side of the stack, punch two holes, each 1/2" in from left side fold and 3/4" from top and bottom of stack through all thicknesses.
3. Thread ribbon through holes from front to back to bind the "pages" together. Tie in a generous bow in the front. Tie a smaller bow of contrasting ribbon to the bow on the cover, or tie a small object that coordinates with your theme into the main bow.
4. For the cover: Use fancy-edged scissors to trim images to size; use glue stick to adhere it to cover of your scrapbook. Add other embellishments, such as charms, game pieces, tiny toys, etc. Use regular glue for these items.
5. Stamp words ("Garden Notes" for example) onto the top of a spring clothespin. Slide a colored pencil, handy for note taking, into the center hole. Clip clothespin to book pages.

(e) Travel Momentos flat-bag scrapbook:
Bind the open ends of flat bags together with clothespins for a longer bag with a pocket in every page. (f) Tuck souvenirs from your trip inside each one. Write notes or detail the contents of each pocket on the tops of the pockets.

Flat-Bag Scrapbooks
1.
Stack 12 bags one on top of the other, all bags opening to the left, flapped sides down. Lay another bag in the same way underneath these for the bottom, but with the flap facing up for a neat back cover. Then lay the last bag atop the others for the cover, but with the open side facing toward the right. This creates a pocket for mementos.
2. Tie ribbon around left side of book to bind. Hold ribbon and pages in place with two old fashioned wooden clothespins.
3. Decorate cover with rubber stamps and mementoes secured with glue.
