Ciao Bella!

Artisan Cheese Platter with roasted plums and marcona almonds
Perfect with aperitifs or a glass of wine before dinner, this festive platter combines the savory and the sweet. “You can substitute roasted apricots, figs, apples, or pears for the plums,” Alisa says. “It also works as a cheese course or a dessert.”

1. To roast plums: Place plums on sheet pan and top with sugar.
2. Bake in 350° oven for about 30 minutes or until plums begin to soften and juices are releasing. Cool until ready to serve.
3. To assemble cheese platter: On large platter, place plums off to one side. Open up leaves to expose the cheese. Sprinkle a mound of almonds between the cheese and plums. Serve with toasted bread slices.
