Instructions:
1. Start with a ready made paper Mache Easter basket. 2. Cut paper strips ½”x12” in different patterns. ( 6 patterns were used) 3. Weave strips in a basket weave pattern, make the length long enough
to go around your basket and leave longer strips at the top so they can wrap
around to the inside of your basket. ( 2-12” lengths were used) 4. Cover your basket with weaved paper and secure with double sided tape,
trim excess from the bottom. 5. Cut sides to make nice seams and secure with double sided tape. 6. Cut blue paper 2 1/8”x 4” showing Bunny pattern. 7. Cut cream cardstock 2 5/8”x 4” using a scalloped edge, glue together. 8. Cut a slit into the weaved paper as shown and slide blue and cream paper
into the slit, secure. Repeat on each side. 9. Glue embroidered bunny onto a journaling tag and secure to the front of
the basket using foam tape. 10. Glue decorative ribbon to the top of the rim of the basket. 11. Tie ribbons to the side of the handles. 12. Glue border stickers to the top of the handle. 13. Add tag, Easter grass and fun items to your Baby’s first basket.
Bunny
1. Start with a paper Mache bunny and cover with torn strips of
paper using Mod Podge as glue. 2. Cover bunny
completely and
let dry overnight. 3.Tie ribbon
around neck and embellish
with embroidered flower.
